The Aurora shifts between pink and purple as it moves through the water — two UV-active colors that salmon perceive far more vividly than the human eye can process. What looks like a pastel shimmer to you appears as blazing neon to a coho with UV cone cells. Add 0.65 volts of galvanic current and you've got a lure that's screaming "wounded baitfish" across two sensory channels simultaneously.

Coho salmon are the Aurora's primary target. They're aggressive, they feed in the upper water column (15–80 feet), and they respond violently to fast, erratic presentations. The pink/purple UV combination triggers their vision at distances that standard painted spoons can't reach, while the galvanic charge activates their lateral line on approach. The result: explosive, rod-doubling strikes from fish that committed before they got close enough to inspect.

Pink salmon anglers take note — the Aurora's color profile is a dead match for the pink/magenta patterns that pinks respond to during their biennial runs. Troll it shallow and fast (2.5–4.0 mph) within the top 40 feet.

This is also a producer for coho in both the Great Lakes and Pacific. Chinook at moderate depths on overcast days respond well to the UV-active finish when glow isn't needed but visual pop is.

Stainless steel. Ball bearing swivel. Made in North America.

I use these a lot in BC. I add a thin strip of glow tape under the blue stripe and it worked well for both springs and coho.

As you know Al, Peter and I sell your Lurecharge products at Kitty Coleman Provincial Park on Vancouver Island for the third year now.  With all the pretty new spoon colours I picked the 4.0 army truck for my choice to start out the year. Well it didn’t let me down.’' I caught a 16 pd chinook within an hour.  So bragging my fish to the whole world, I made a sale to Mike (the guy up the road) and he went out three days later and caught a halibut, a pacific cod and a nice spring. Mike then purchase a second 4.0 army truck and took his dad out the following day and wouldn’t you know it ANOTHER halibut and a chinook. This is unheard of here. We might get three halibut the whole year.  Now we are selling out of this lure. I also used a lemon lime 4.0 last year with great success so hats off to you Al, keep up the great charge...ps Here are the pictures to prove it!
