The Purple Flake Nasty Boy is a 5-inch voltage-tuned galvanic spoon designed for salmon trolling behind flashers and dodgers — the presentation that built the Pacific commercial fishing industry. Spoons are voltage-tuned lures that rely on a flasher's rotating action to create their darting, pulsing movement. The Purple Flake adds UV-reactive metallic flake that fluoresces under ultraviolet light — appearing dramatically more vivid to salmon, which possess UV-sensitive cone cells that humans lack entirely.

No other spoon manufacturer adds galvanic charge. This is a LureCharge exclusive. The 0.65 volt output mimics the bioelectric field of wounded baitfish, detected by the salmon's lateral line system from beyond visual range. Behind a flasher at 18–24 inches of leader, the Purple Flake combines three attraction triggers: the flasher's flash and vibration, the spoon's UV-reactive tentacle pulse, and the galvanic voltage-tuned bioelectric field. Three senses targeted. Zero competition doing this.

Troll at 1.5–2.5 mph for chinook, 2.0–3.5 for coho. Run 60–150 feet down on downriggers. The purple UV flake maintains visibility at depth where standard colors disappear — salmon's UV vision keeps it visible past 100 feet. In the Great Lakes and Pacific alike, this is the voltage-tuned galvanic spoon that converts followers into hookups.

Made in North America. The only voltage-tuned galvanic spoon in fishing.

As you know Al, Peter and I sell your Lurecharge products at Kitty Coleman Provincial Park on Vancouver Island for the third year now.  With all the pretty new spoon colours I picked the 4.0 army truck for my choice to start out the year. Well it didn’t let me down.’' I caught a 16 pd chinook within an hour.  So bragging my fish to the whole world, I made a sale to Mike (the guy up the road) and he went out three days later and caught a halibut, a pacific cod and a nice spring. Mike then purchase a second 4.0 army truck and took his dad out the following day and wouldn’t you know it ANOTHER halibut and a chinook. This is unheard of here. We might get three halibut the whole year.  Now we are selling out of this lure. I also used a lemon lime 4.0 last year with great success so hats off to you Al, keep up the great charge...ps Here are the pictures to prove it!
